Last.fm player and multiple artists
I’m a big fan of last.fm, its a great way to discover new & old music. They’ve just upgraded the last.fm player but they’ve disabled the listen to multiple artists/tags feature, due to legal reasons. Anyway, here’s a cheap hack that you can use to listen to multiple artists. Type this into your internet browser address bar:
lastfm://multipleartists/sergei rachmaninoff,dmitri shostakovich,fats waller
Make sure you replace the artists with who you’d like to listen to! A similar method can be used for multiple tags:
lastfm://globaltags/electro,breaks,funk

cool trick. i guess last.fm is trying to make multiple artist radio a subscription service in the near future. in the meantime you can either do this trick you provided, download an old version of the last.fm client or just use their listen option.
This doesn’t work anymore: “This item is not available for streaming”
found it: use instead:
lastfm://artistnames/artist1,…,artistN
thanks for the tip faxmodem.
just tried the global tags radio and they limited it to just one tag now! goddamn it, i’m beginning to get pissed off with their radio restrictions lately, the only use i now have for it is playing other users’ radios. didn’t renew my subscription, although i think you have to have one to access certain radio functions.
also they removed the option to play multiple artits/tags through the Listen page. jeez
